Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 18, 2026
This policy explains how Frederik Wordenskjold Nørregaard, Denmark ("Operator", "we", "us"), handles personal data through seleneafterdark.com and Selene Studio Publisher.
Data we process
When you connect TikTok, we may receive your TikTok user identifier, display name, profile image, account capabilities and privacy options, as permitted by the scopes you approve. When you choose to upload or post, we process the selected media, caption, privacy choice, interaction settings and publishing status. We may also process basic technical and security data such as timestamps, browser information, IP address, error logs and consent records.
YouTube Data API Services
When the authorized channel owner connects YouTube, Selene Studio Publisher uses the official YouTube Data API v3 and requests only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload OAuth scope. This permission lets the Publisher upload owner-selected videos to the connected YouTube channel. The Publisher does not use YouTube website automation, collect viewer data, read comments, subscriptions, watch history, search history or analytics, or create derived metrics.
Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy. Use of YouTube API Services is also subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
Why we process it
We process data to provide the requested login, creator-information and publishing features; show the settings TikTok makes available for your account; complete an upload or post only after your express action; keep the Services secure; diagnose errors; and comply with legal obligations. Our legal bases, where the GDPR applies, are performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, consent where required, and compliance with law.
TikTok and other recipients
Publishing data is sent to TikTok when you expressly initiate an upload or post. TikTok handles that data under its own privacy policy. We use service providers, including hosting and security providers, only as needed to run the Services. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
YouTube OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored server-side in Google Cloud Firestore with access controls and are kept only while needed to provide the connected upload feature. OAuth client secrets are held in protected cloud configuration and are not exposed to site visitors or stored in public site files. YouTube upload media is handled only long enough to complete the owner-requested transfer and is not retained by the Publisher after the request. The Publisher stores no YouTube viewer or analytics data.
OAuth tokens are kept only while needed to provide connected features and are protected with access controls. Publishing records and security logs are kept only as long as needed for operation, troubleshooting, legal compliance and abuse prevention. Uploaded media is not kept longer than needed to complete the requested transfer unless you ask us to store it for another stated purpose.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside Denmark or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Your choices and rights
You can revoke TikTok access through your TikTok settings. You can revoke YouTube access through your Google Account connections. You may also request YouTube disconnection by contacting [email protected]. The operator-side disconnect process calls Google's OAuth revocation service and deletes the stored YouTube access token, refresh token, expiry, scope and related connection record from Firestore. Revoking the Publisher does not delete videos already uploaded to YouTube; those remain under the channel owner's control in YouTube Studio.
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency or your local supervisory authority.
Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. The Services are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law or TikTok requires one.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised date here and provide additional notice where required.
